Chicken Name Bragger contest - No real prize, just braggin rights!

My chickens names are "Henrietta", "Dutchy", "Houdini", "Lacey", "Rocky" and "Bowinkle". My Ducks are "Gretchen", "Huey", "Luey", and "Duey". We did get 5 more larger hens but have not decided on names for them yet.

I named the rooster Crocker because as soon as he crowed he was going in the crockpot! (and he did)

The only other one I named is "Two Stroke" because she sounds like a dirt bike shifting gears when she boks.

Our girls are named Rock, Paper, & Scissors.

Rock is a Black Australorp, Paper is a Buff Orpington, and Scissors is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. The Australorp's full name is Dwayne Johnson but she answers to "Rock".

Their pecking order is: Rock beats Scissors, Scissors beats Paper.



My favorite name so far is arcountrychick's "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner."

We currently have only a few that have names:

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (a rooster that's destined for the BBQ)
Broody Britches (Silver laced wyandotte)
Beggar (EE)

My daughter says that when we get a really pretty rooster his name shall be Cluck Kent.

Rock Paper SCissors based on the pecking order is pretty clever!

We got lucky with the pecking order since we named them as chicks. My husband and boys wanted to name our girls Godzilla, Beast, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. I voted for Anne, Emily, and Charlotte after the Bronte sisters. They lived productive lives without getting married or having kids so I thought that was perfect for our rooster-less flock.

After a week of going back and forth we were about to Roshambo to decide their names...then we realized Rock, Paper, Scissors really did solve our name dilemma.

They have been named Rock, Paper, Scissors ever since.
