Henerietta - 3 year old (SMART) broodie hen currently has a brood.

Climber - 3 Year old Hen Plymouth rock/american game cross. (is Bowser's only descendant) With the funny habit of climbing on to my shoulder, and is a good setter with the temper of a rattlesnake when in the nest she even scares me when she is in the nest.

Tiny - passed away at 2 3/4 years old, my smallest rooster i have ever had, he was a good looking rooster too, he was a red jungle/ american game cross.

Due to fear of anthropomorphism, our 7 hens have a rather unusual naming system. The fat ameraucauna sort of gets named "fat ameraucauna"...

Of course, this doesn't stop me from being nice and cuddly towards them, but fat ameraucana and friends probably think of me as a food dispenser.

Well 'fat ameraucana' is a name! One of my dogs I call fat dog or fat boy, lol. I understand why you don't name them and believe me if I had more than two mine would be bird 1 and so on.

Food dispenser, lol. 1 of mine chases after me when I leave run not because she loved me but I am bringer of food. I leave means no more treats but what I just dropped off.

Nice photos! Henrietta is such a fitting name. OMGosh I hope I don't meat one in the near future because your hens pic will just pop into my head. Throw in @fat marans describe herself as a food dispenser...

I'll have a pez dispenser with your hens head jumping to the forefront of my thoughts. Hopefully I will be able to control my laughter. I would hate she (future human Henrietta,) to think I was a cruel crazy woman.

Four are columbian rocks, three are ameraucanas, two are cuckoo Marans, two are wyandottes, one is a mystery breed, and two are ameraucana columbian rocks.

Everyone has such cute, awesome, whimsical and endearing names. I thought it would be so cool if we could post name breed and sex!

Let's try to keep it simple. Thank you all!!!!!!

My leghorn hen is named chickadee! There's a Plymouth Rock hen named Mister Miester. Squiggles is a hen but idk what breed. My pair of rhode island reds were named Everett and Sandy but we had to give away Everett, oli and Hopps as their crowing upset the neighbors. There are also the three silkies, Venus/Klaus, Poppy and Milo, and a mean guinea named Fredrick!

What awesome diverse collection of bird and names! Do you chose names by personality or whatever pops in your head? Does someone help you choose their names?
