Chicken Names- whats your chickens name?

I have three road island reds named
Zoe
Brownie
Chick-Norris -brother and mines best friend named him

I used to have 3 others but they were different breeds and unfortunatly they passed
Chicken nugget
LaLa
Dune buggy I named
The other 4 were named by the kids I basically raised lol. Now I have chickens to raise

My cockerels are called Lovejoy and Tinker from a tv series about an antique dealer,

My hens are all named after female characters from Doctor Who!

Donna

Rose.

Clara.

Martha and Harriet.

And Amy.
I am hoping some of my chicks are female as I want some more hens, and there are plenty more female Doctor Who characters to name them after!

What breeds are your hens? Martha and Harriet are beautiful. We have an Amelia and Clara:

The companions when they were younger. Clara is an Easter Egger and Amelia is a Golden Buff (Meyer's name for their golden sex-links aka Red Stars)

Clara and Amelia with more ginger

Clara at 2 1/2 months

Amelia last weeks at a little over 3 months

We also have an Elizabeth and Victoria. Elizabeth is a Buff Orpington and Victoria is a Silver Grey Dorking, both British breeds and both very stately. And we have a Black Copper Marans named Morgaine. We had a Buckeye that we gave away because s/he was acting like an aggressive roo, she could have easily been called Donna for her mahogany coloring and loud boisterousness, that or Boudica, but we never gave her a name.

Just got chicks - my 5 year old and 2 year old named them Sweets, Tweets, Chicky, Chirp, Ginger and Mutt (that was the husband's contribution!)

I do like your names Sweets, Tweets, Chicky, Chirp, etc. not human names.

I like names that are not human names, but animal names. But for some, it's great you name after movie stars, movies or whatever. It's just not for me.

Someone at the shelter, before I adopted my 6 month old kitty, named her Janice, I immediately change to Tiger. She was that color. Oh well, to each.......

400

Finally got the kids to name the 4 unnamed pullets :) sky, glamour, blackie, and fuzzy

And we had to change one of the mallards name.....turns our Elsa is actually a boy....He is now Marshall (from paw patrol lol)

Definitely to each their own! I really dislike the idea of naming them after food, but many people do that to be funny. I like human names but I also really like spice, herb, flower, gem and other nature names :) For example Ginger, Clover, Juniper, Onyx, River etc. I like themes so probably one day I'll have a flock or spice girls or gem girls. These threads are always so inspiring.

But I agree Sweets, Tweets and Chirp are adorable especially coming from kids ;)

From left to right: The Black Australorp is Alduin the World Eater, the Easter Egger is Fish Sandwich, the Buff Orpington is Tater Tot, and the Speckled Sussex is Lemongrab.
