I got most of my hens from craigslist so I generally use the name of the person I got them from or a variation of that name (bolded)

Buffy - Buff Rock (top of the pecking order)

Hailey - Gold Comet (no brainer, right?)
Rosie - Silver Laced Wyandotte (molting when acquired and had runny poo so ... her bare butt was rosie red and also a reminder that your poo doesn't smell like a rose either)

Amelia - EE (loves to fly)

Selena - White Faced Black Spanish (kinda sings in a sweet little cooing tone ... so for the spanish singer Selena)

Cassiopeia - EE (such a pretty bird and the place we got her was near Newcastle ... so kinda like cassie)
