Chicken nipples, cups and FROZEN pvc pipes - HELP!

Sorry. I probably sound silly. I'm a new momma to baby chickens and chickens in general.
You're not silly at all...trust me, I was YOU not too long ago!!

I have to say that since using the water nipples my daily chores with the girls are cut in half...no more cleaning out pooped-in grungy water dishes, no more filling and filling and filling waterers.....it's GREAT!

Are you sure they can use them? Each time I go out I push the little silver deal and the chicks RACE over to get the water I released. Are they just being lazy and enjoying free water or can they not figure it out. I seem them surround the nipples in groups but I can't tell if thwy are all getting enough water. The water in the tub does seem to be going down. I'm just worried that someone won't drink enough and I will kill them.
if you deprive them of water for several hours.. (yes it sounds sort of harsh, but the learning process is well worth all the benefits of clean water)… They will be more than eager to drink… Keep clicking it, let them see where it comes from, they we continue to get closer.

It is VERY nice not to have to clean their waterer out 3-4-5 times a day. They are my 15 EE's and 9 Wyandotte chicls I got in the mail on May 23rd. So they are almost a month old. They are still in a "brooder" (a very large tub used to water my horses normally.) They will be going to the barn soon once my friend is back in town and takes the ones she will be adding to her flock.

It has been hard to resist the urge to put a bowl of water down for them but I HAVE resisted. All I have been doing is clicking the little silver piece on the nipplers each time I pass the brooder.

Thanks again for such amazingly friendly support and advice. Ya'll are awesome!
