I'm using the stainless steel high- flow nipple from farm tech, and the chickens push the stem up out of the throat, thus they leak until the bucket is empty. Anyone else having or had this problem?

Me too, I would go to a hardware store with the nipple and ask them if they have any rubber O rings that could fit. Or you can try plumber's tape.
Heck I have a hard enough time trying to get eggs out of them let alone some cream of chicken.
"break an egg", I thought of the same thing, however was thinking they might peck the o-ring off and eat it. What i finally did, was hammer the end of the pin until it spread out enough not letting the shaft push out. I'm thinking it may fail if the rough edges of the pin from smashing it, catches on the throat and sticks. We'll see.
How does the threaded plastic nipple work for some of you.
