At the feed store with my little girl we could not resist getting some chicks and raising them for eggs after seeing a few friends and neighbors get into it. It has become quite the trend here in Portland to have a few urban back yard chickens. I think we are only allowed 3 but many have more. We got 4 chicks, if any are male i will have to get rid of them. At the feed store we got,
Two Black Australorps and two Yellow Ameraucanas, They are now out in the coop we built at 5 weeks old, and free ranging around our yard for a couple of hours a day.
