chicken not walking, pooping egg yolk and white, help!

I was tucking in the chickens last night and I noticed doofy was in the nest box and there was a little egg yolk and white on the straw behind her. I thought she had just eaten her egg so I let her be. This morning I found her sitting down and as I watched the pooped out clear and runny, almost like egg white.I also noticed though she can walk she preferes to sit down and if I try to get her to walk she takes single, slow, steps. So I've put her in a warm bath becuase I know that helps with egg bound hens but I'm not sure if thats what this is. What is wrong with doofy and how can I help her?

Sorry your poor hen is off...

The warm bath was good - keep her quiet and contained. There are several possibilities; Sometimes it's as simple as egg malfunction. I've had paper thin shells, jello eggs, and just yolk/white stuff. If that's the case, she'll likely be back to normal within a day. If she's still acting off, then it's possible that an egg broke inside her, which she could expel on her own (the pieces), or not. If you think you're up for it, you could lube a finger up and gently feel around inside her for possible egg shell. There are other options too, but hopefully it's the first one. Hope she recovers quickly

It could be egg periotisis (sp) . Could be an infection, internal issues, do a search on the egg perio it may give some answers

Ok, I felt inside her vent and there wasnt a shell or anything, ( assist, chicken keeper mom here). I felt around inside from the vent as much as I could. I feel no shell, found some mucous not much. More details, chicken is prone to heat stroke at about 75 degrees. Gave cool bath, she cooled down but is not wanting to walk. can walk, no broken bones papabable, "grit pouch" (sorry am tired) is soft, seems empty. Wobbles a bit but does not fall over. pOOped egg yolk last night, got small amnt grren poop out. (no grass here). advice please?
- I already have a sick dog, was up all nignt, am tired.

I personally would give her some antibiotic and see if it improves. Penicillin, amoxicillian etc... about 250 mg. It often happens when the egg laying gets off track internally and ends up an infection.....

BAD NEWS-

Doofy just died. Missychicky does not know yet.....

Doofy was her favorite- a funny, dumb little chicken who never did follow the group, This is going to be VERY hard on missychicky, we just lost our 15 year old cat that she loved last week. And our Golden Reteriver has a large bleeding fatty tumor and is down.
Missychicky is very emotional and this is going to be VERY, VERY hard for her.

My chicken did this today. I think it broke inside. She pooped out the egg white and yolk. She doesn't want to walk she just stands there. We gave her a warm bath but she didn't lay down so we got a wash rage and wet the area. She poos just fine. Shes less than a year old. She is a Rhode island red. Later we are going to lube her up with some type of safe oil for her. I'm very scared because I don't want her to die and what I read above made me nervous.
