I use the hose with sprayer on the "mist setting" Works great for me! If you have really high water pressure, I wouldn't turn the faucet on all the way though. Sorry for the delayed response.

you can go to Wal Mart and get those smaller battery operated fans and put one in the coop where the hens are laying eggs and then I put one out in the yard, will water down one part of their yard so they have wet dirt to scratch and lay in, ice cubes in their water, wet fruits like watermelon, cantaloupe, the rinds, things I can put in the frig and give them during the heat of the day.

I noticed this was posted 7/12... how is she doing? I give my babies watermelon, frozen grapes (their favorite), and frozen peas.. I also put ice cubes in their water and hose down their run a couple times a day so they can get their cool dust baths in the afternoon..
