Not to mention, do their dogs LOOK like their owners too???????

I hate it when folks treat their dogs like children and DRESS and put them in baby carriages was the top pet peeves of people owning pets. UGH! Isn't that embarassing for the dog themselves???!!!!!

Here's hoping that we reach a conclusion to this thread instead of an extension!

I hope the dog owner is charged for his large carnivorous animal running freely where ever it may. The dog was obviously not within sight nor sound of owner, so it was completely uncontrolled, leash or not.

OK, I'm on a roll. I sure wish news would come in about Mr. Harris!

Predators and pest forum

I know this story is bigger than me and my family. Our fears are the same as many other families. They also live daily with one or more clueless, careless, disrespectful, neighbors.
This is new, all new to me. I'm overwhelmed with the whole thing, trying to get my legs under me again. We do have some wonderful neighbors in Central Oregon. We do look out after each other, taking care of each other’s homes, and animals, and watching out for each other’s children.
For the most part, neighbor loving neighbor.
Your actions, though miles and miles away, have made our neighborhood seem so much bigger. The actions of BYC Forum members have made my family feel like you are next door.

I believe in citizenship, I believe in doing the right thing, no matter how inconvenient or hard. We teach our children this. “Integrity is not what people see you do, it is what you do when no one else is looking”. ‘Harris’s try hard and then try harder’ and 'you love your neighbor as you would like to be loved'. “To have good neighbors you first must be a good neighbor”
I said. ”I’m trying to get my legs under me”. We are all in a teachable moment. We either learn from the past or we repeat it. DR Phil says, ”How’s it working for you”. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome. I don’t work that way.
I said this was a tragedy that did not have to happen. Sitting in my home in fear, not calling the police, they are not going to show up, they can’t get here in time. That’s what all the neighbors say. That is what has happened in the past. We know they are overwhelmed too.
We can’t find the dog owners. Do the dog owners even know or care.

Our family has some of those answers, as of today, hurtful and unneighborly actions. Citizenship is down the tubes, their needs and wants first no matter the outcome or the cost to their neighbor’s lives and property. Neighbor, what neighbor “I did not know your Home was there” Mr. Gap said to me. “I did not know you had children, chickens, or turkeys”.
Still goes back to neighbor loving neighbor, citizenship, and a line of empathy and concern for each other. You and your Forum members have shown that and the world grows a little smaller because you do the good neighbor thing. We have other neighbors too in their upper 80’s, 70’s, Grandparents, children, wildlife, pets, and livestock. I’m going to do the right thing no matter the cost. Your actions and the actions of BYC are inspiring.

Thank You
Ed Harris and Family
