You're welcome and thank you very much I do appreciate it a lot. She had a poo when the vet was checking her over and this kind of pink small flesh like thing came out as well and he said that it is very abnormal for something like that to come out as well and so he realised that there was a growth and so didn't drain her.

The pink flesh-like object sounds like a lash egg, a product of an oviduct inflammation called salpingitis. The metacam may be helpful for pain and inflammation. Very early treatment with antibiotics could help extend her life, but does not cure the disease. Below is a good article to read:

Thank you now I remember when I was cleaning them out I came across several of these before but I never knew what they were.

The oviduct is the whole organ where lash eggs come from. The uterus is included. They are not really eggs but infected tissue from egg matter in the oviduct. Click on the link below for a good picture:

unfortunately she died last week but was a very strong chicken as we brought her to the vet back in April and has only just past away thank you all very much for your help
