After 4 full days of antibiotics she’s only gotten worse, so instead of forcing them I didn’t do them yet today. Should I?
I’m doing safeguard once a day (started yesterday), I just got some Monistat 7 and gave her 2 pea sized doses, and I got some oil in her. Not sure what else to be doing.
I tried so hard to get a picture but just couldn’t. It’s gone now though. I’ll continue with water and oil and possibly occasionally try food to see how she responds. Thank you for continuing to help me!!
Give her plain yogurt and grit today, olive oil and alternate sweetened water and regular water. The antibiotics will make sour crop worse because it kills all bacteria, good and bad, the good bacteria needs to be recolonized.I tried so hard to get a picture but just couldn’t. She has tomorrow to show signs of improvement or we’re culling her. Still won’t eat or drink without freaking out. She arches her head toward her back as if she’s itchy or something, but only when I’m trying to get her to eat/drink. Her crop fills with air while she’s eating or drinking anything, and she burps a lot. I’m at a loss and don’t want her to suffer if I can’t help her.
