Here is my quirkiest chicken Oreo, she's an Ancona and she gets scared so easy when I let her free range all I have to say is Oreo! And she'll start skipping in the air and running, and I say it again she'll just go flying away. I thinks she's just a bit odd, she is blind in one eye though.

I got a broody a few days ago and I went and snuck to my neighbors house and asked if I could have a few fertilized eggs even though i wasn't supposed to let her hatch any eggs, my parents will be so surprised when they find out there are chicks under her.

Oreo sounds like a great chicken, despite her oddities. I have a white laced buff polish, Snowball, who is always jumping up in terror at anything that moves, because her huge crest is always limiting her vision. She's always running into things too, lol.

No we haven't seen the yogurt, why would you ask?

Hi everyone
Just a little story I wrote and thought you might like.

The story.
One night I forgot to shut the door too the hen house and a fox got in and killed snow.
Next morning snowy was fine and was eating with the flock, but then as she looked over to the other hens and i think she noticed that snow was not their.
So she started to look all over the place for snow to no avail, then she saw the feathers, snows feathers, she just looked at them and then did a surprising thing, she collapsed into the ground and started making a wailing and moaning sound like she was in pain, I went over to her and picked her up she just carried on doing it.
So I took her inside and put her on the kitchen floor and fed her some food.
She stopped after awhile and ate the food I gave her, after she had finished a took her back outside and let her run around with the other girls, she was fine.
But it just shows that Chickens can and do mourn.
Thanks Laura
