They are just lovely. I dont know what they are, but mine, same age, looked like hell. You can see them in post before yours. Its like their bodies overgtew, and the feathers could not cover them. They are so funny.

They haven't really hit the awkward feathering stage yet. The smallest/youngest one does have the worst goatee I've ever seen since the 90's grunge scene, but overall they seemed to move from chick fuzz to baby feathers pretty smoothly. They're 1 Phoenix Bantam, 3 Ayam Cemani & 1 Quillback (my own breed). I'm waiting for that adolescent moult to start & make them look awful. :D

Wow! Are you getting your breed into ahhhhhh I am dog person. Like the chicken version of AKC? I guess you have to produce enough with type or something. I am going back to see if I can figure them out. I am brand new, and into temperament, beauty and eggs. My two choc orps are the nicest. The Cuckoo Marans are ver quick, but one has a nasty edge to her. Two out of three Legbars are......cognitively challenged. The Rhodebars are pretty but want nothing to do with me unless I have food.
I thought I saw a new training section, but I cannot locate it again...
I am pretty sure I already trained whoever would catch on though. I have noticed even with the ones who dont want me touching them, they still listen and respond.

So, the Ayam Cemanis are easy. Is the Phoenix Bantam alone? That would make your Quillback the cool black and white? She is really unique and gorgeous. Is she the first one? Oh, and its the American Poultry Association, I think. Sorry I am so nosy. Even though I just have a rudimentary knowledge of genetics and breeding, I find it facinating. I love the black and white. Any other colors?

No, I'm not looking to get them into the APA. It's mostly just for me because I was curious how to do it & what the combination (Sebright & Polish) would look like. I just wanted chickens with mohawks,

Yup, the little B&W one. His comb developed differently than the two I hatched last year (his parents) & he was the only one I got to hatch this year. So far, he's got more of the Sebright personality than the Polish - which is a lot more confrontational & doesn't like being handled.

These are his parents. They are more like their Polish mothers than their Sebright father.

The weather is getting hotter & my 2mo old chicks are getting ready to move outside permanently. The adult chicks aren't too interested in them yet (Ronan did try the wing drop dance on Mercury & failed), but the peafowl are extremely curious about them.
Stunning, as usual!

Your Phoenix (is he Ronan?) is getting to be quite the handsome dude. My boys are truly drool-worthy at only 15 weeks of age, so thought I would show you what you have to look forward to.

I really need some updated pictures.

OMG the tails! I can't wait to see Ronan's. He's getting *really* big & I think he might not be a bantam (which would be disappointing since I have a female Phoenix bantam I was hoping to breed with him). Thank you for sharing your pictures!

Ok these pics are amazing! Do you have a website where you market your stuff? What medians do you do? My Mom hss checkered floor in her bathroom. They would look awesome framed and hung there.

Thank you very much. I don't have any prints of them available - yet! I'm still looking into where I can get them made. :)
