That's true. :)   Spring is full of exciting things for you, then! I REALLY want an Appenzeller Spitzhauben, but who knows how far into the future that will be.

Oh, one more thing, T.Roo is still great with people. Very respectful and non-aggressive. He's the type I can walk up to while he's on the roost and just hug all over without receiving more than a complaint. :D

Actually, back when I was still planning on doing a my pet chicken order I looked at that breed, but I put the SSH in over that breed, but I don't really know what I was thinking. Should have got both!

Bubbles, my little foofball Bubbles, attacked me the other day. It was actually funny becuse he can't jump very high, so he attacked my boots, (sturdy things) and feather feet, a crest, and weighing only about 3 pounds didn't help either. It was like someone threw a teddy bear at me. I still took it seriously, and knocked him back and marched him arround the coop 5 times, and whenever I saw him I'd follow him really slowly. It's non-violent and really really gets them freaked out! I think it also helps him see that I'm not a rooster, I'm something else. Now he keeps his distance.

Hey, I just think you need to get both breeds!

Oh my goodness, Bubbles! (Your rooster) What do you suppose got into that little, cute, fluffy guy? Haha! Just being a roo, I guess.

Absolutely!

I can only imagine that attack in my mind: cute, fluffy Bubbles ripping the snot out of your boots.....

If T.Roo ever does something like that, he's going to freezer camp because I've got little brothers who aren't even 3 feet tall yet. I threatened him a few days ago, saying, "Hey buddy, you'd better behave yourself or you're going to be Thanksgiving dinner."

Well, he's still here, so obviously he took me seriously! Now I've just got Christmas dinner on my mind.....

He's not off the hook yet!

Ya, I don't even think it would have hurt if I had had my sandals on! It was sorta my fault, I was instigating him, but my other roo was having dominance issues too and I uwas testing him when bubbles came over, so I tested him too.... Stuff like acting like a dominant roo, crowing, slapping my hands to imitate wing flapping, and he took the bait!! Doin good now though!

I'm beginning to think my decision to take the more peaceable training route for T.Roo was a good thing! You see, I had heard so many conflicting opinions on that subject: treat them the way a dominant roo would and they'll respect you; no, that will only make them want to challenge you if you confront them. So much to learn!
