I see nothing to be worried about. Did you check out the poop page link from my earlier post? I study this page, it is essential to learn to distinguish between normal and abnormal poop. I'm no expert poopologist, so I reference the poop page often and I'm getting more adept at healthy poop identification all the time.

If I find dropping and do the treatment and still see blood in the droppings what's the next step?

Treatment was corid 2 teas per gallon in the water.
I mixed it about weekly the first 2 weeks then the last week i did fresh mix each day thinking that perhaps that's why is still saw blood after 2 weeks. so finished this last week with fresh corrid.

Just want to know what to look for in recovery

If you did not mix a fresh dose of Corid every day, then they likely did not get the appropriate dose during that time. If the last week was done fresh every day, that last week may have been successful if it was at least 5 days.

The correct dosing for Corid:
"The 9.6% Corid liquid dose I use is 10ml (2 teaspoons) per gallon for 5 days, then 2.5ml (1/2 teaspoon) per gallon for 7 days. Make fresh daily.

The 20% Corid powder dose I use is 1.5 teaspoons per gallon for 5 days, then 1/2 teaspoon for 7 days. Make fresh daily.

Medicated water must be their only source of water (no creeks, puddles ponds, etc.)"

You can also make a drench with the corid to give to an individual bird if it's very sick.
If you have liquid corid, just use a drop or two straight. For the powder you mix 1/2 tsp of powder in 10 ml of water. Dose the bird 0.07 ml of that mixture per 100 grams of weight of the bird, once a day for up to three days. The drench is used in addition to the treatment above, if neccessary.

Follow up treatment with vitamins (make sure it contains B1) and probiotics in the water.

I have done extensive research and found that Corid 9.6% is the best way to treat this disease is to put this into there water for 5 days and see what happens. If you still see blood in the feces then you should consult a vet and see what he/she prescribes to your chicken. If the Corid works for you and your chicken then you should keep them on a dose for at least 6 months to make sure that your chickens are happy and heathy.

I have cocci now in two of our show birds. Beloved show birds... I’m worried. Quite a bit of blood today. Started yesterday. I took a fecal sample in for a float but won’t have the results until am. I have them on the cordid 20% dosage (1.5 teaspoons per gallon) they’re eating and drinking at least some. So that’s good. Also made them some eggs for added nutrition. I hope this doesn’t upset the belly more.
I clicked the link above but it’s a dead link on my end. Does anyone have the pdf of the page content?
