I just hatched out 5 of my 6 eggs in my 1588 Genesis Hova-Bator! The 6th is working on it...

So far I have 2 Bantam chicks that apear to be: Olive Egger X Silver Sebright and maybe half Silkie too.
Then last night I hatched out 1 "White Rock?" chick and a Black Cochin X Silkie!! And I think maybe a PURE Oliver Egger!! I can't wait to see what the 6th chick will look like!

Oh did I mention I got 4 *New* adult chickens as well???

*Sigh* I just can't help myself!

That's a lot of chickens! I'm jealous. My county only allows 6 per quarter acre, which is the standard property size here. And I already have 4 GSL's and 2 EE's.

I've decided I need a blue egg layer. Brought a dozen of my pretty pastel green pullet eggs to work the other day and they were snatched up immediately. No one had ever seen a green egg! Now I need to bring an easter basket!

I wish it would warm up. I still have four babies in a bedroom upstairs and I can't keep up with the (*&*(%&( dust.

Speaking of the chicks... Quinn's comb is larger than Aspen's, her tail is more fanned out and is still growing, and she's HUGE! Almost twice the size of Aspen! Exploring the possibility that my little Quinny might actually be a cockerel

By the way...those are RAISINS!

He's huddled in the crate getting acclimated to house noises...ie 4 dogs, 20-some-odd chicks, the parakeets, kids, karaoke (that's right!) and the cat keeps crawling in the crate with him! He is about 2/3 the size of the cat!

I am stoked! My Wheaten Marans eggs from Lisa Cree are hatching...5 out of 8 in my bator so far. My friend has 6 others due to hatch tomorrow.

I have 4 Lav Orps pipping now from rockinpaints. And BARGAIN...where are you??? One Blue Orp and one BBS orp have hatched.

Still crossing my fingers on the others!
