Well our pig is kind of a pork project, not like those congress critters are always adding to us tax payers, more like a DIY food project, so she has a few more months to finish out. What I plan to do for the new coop is build it on skids and either put it on rollers or push it into place with the tractor. Either that or relocate the pig to a new location, either way I got a coop planned. If I actually get it will be another story. I thought of buying a used tandem wheel trailer and build the coop on it, move it around as needed. Then if we ever sell and move, just put some tags on the trailer and off we go.

Hot d***...what a great idea. I plan to move in about 10 years and my coop isn't built yet. *checking CL for trailer wheels* I

that idea.

I keep seeing used camper trailers for CHEEP on the Craigslist. I want one to use as a chicken coop, but it has been banned by those deer to me!

I wish I lived in the country where no one could see our back field and "judge us" for having a junky camper trailer full of chickens in the field!

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

Well I'm now working on getting Purebred Buff Orpingtons. I have 21 BO hens and 2 BO roosters in a pen. Hopeing to have purebred eggs in a few weeks.

Any ideas how long a hen can hold a rooster's "Thing?" My BO hens have been running w/ my mutt roosters and before I can sell Purebred BO eggs I have to make sure that my BO roosters have done their "stuff".

Are your BO's good quality, or hatchery?

Can I see some pictures of them?

They are from Privett Hatchery, I hatched out a few babies from them and they look alot better than their parents. I have a BO rooster in the pen right now and he is around 6-7 Months old and still growing!

He is already up to my knee!! I'll try to get some pictures when I go to gather eggs in a bit.

I took a look and I have no idea. I would say some antibiotics might help. Can you put Neosporin on chickens??? I really don't know if you can? Looks sore, poor little chickie. I hope someone with more knowledge than me helps you out.

You can. But I'm not sure if it would help much with a problem like this.
