The Easter Bunny visited my coop yesterday. My prize black silkie roo "Midnight" was more than happy to be held and photographed. He said it would be good publicity for his hens to see him on facebook. HA!

Okay, sorry about this, but I have eggs I'm setting today.... Do I need to turn them on the first day? I totally forgot. Sorry.

Are they shipped? if not (or if they are and you've already 'rested' them a bit), I always turn mine right away and I seem to do OK. most of the time.

Shipped eggs need to rest a bit before setting to hopefully get those air cells back where they should be.

Mine ARE shipped, but they've been resting since yesterday... Is that long enough?

I vote yes.

I am no expert, but I always turn on day 1 and I get pretty decent hatches.

I let mine sit for around 4+ hours and then put them in the 'bator. I have an auto turner so they turn 24/7.
