I am going to be out of town next week and I am so nervous about leaving my chickens!

I spend about 2 hours a day taking care of them. I am somewhat obsessive about them, but I like to make sure that all 7 waterers are emptied, cleaned and filled and that all of the feeders are cleaned and filled at least twice a day.

Last time I left for 1 day, I came home and both of the chick's waterers were empty and 3 of the chicks had gotten wedged between the wire and the wood. They can't do this anymore, but it just shows that they NEED lots of care and attention!

I need to sell some before I leave so that there won't be as many for my mom to take care of while I am gone, but I really don't want to!

I just did "Inventory" this morning and I currently have 57 chickens and 2 geese. Oh, and 18 baby chicks "stashed" at Daisychick's!

Midge has a Mycoplasma Infection

Going to the vet soon. Does anybody know if she will forever be a carrier bird of this disease? I was hoping to show her sometime maybe but I can't if she's sick

Yay! The vet says that she doesn't have Mycoplasma Infection, just a bad cold!

She gave me some medicine for Midge to take twice a day for 10 days.
