Yippee! I am so glad they are all getting along! And you were so worried and look how it worked out.

Meagan: I candled my isa/JG eggs tonight and I have 5 wigglers!

On a good note I "guessed" the right end to put facing upwards on those round baseball eggs.

I actually had the aircells on the right end. I was worried because I seriously couldn't tell top from bottom on them! They are on day 10 so I am half way there.

I love that face! It looks like the gosling's like, "yeah, they're my siblings. Now don't question it"

And good news! Aspen, Quinn, and Midge are pretty much integrated into the Ladies' flock!

They're all in the same run right now, and when I let them out earlier, Poppy ran out with Quinn and Midge! NOT chasing them! Just strutting with them! And yeah, POPPY! The ALPHA!

Integrating younguns into a flock is always nerve wracking! I'm happy you had success!!! Congrats!

Yah Congrats! I just did this as well, integrated three new girlfriends into my big coop. They are 15 weeks old, so still a little small, but so far no bloodshed and they are roosting on the 'big girl' roost with the others.

Mugs, your goslings are sooo cute! What's up with the other billion eggs in that UberBator? More chickies soon? I have the hatching bug again and I've got a brooder full already! Argh!!

Ba ha ha! That is hilarious. I had a heck of a time, too! The first week they went into my LG, then the last 2 they were in the Brinsea on their sides. I was mortified that I couldn't tell with absolute conviction which side was UP! I still can't on the eggs in the bator now! They are almost a perfect sphere! Speaking of which...they are almost all hatched!

There are a TON in there! Isa/JG's, Wheaten Ams, Lav Ams, BCM's, EE's, bantams, OE's, crazy ton of eggs! Err...now crazy ton of chicks! It is awesome! I now have 4 brooders full! But it isn't completely my fault, you see. I brought back the 20 something chicks my DD's 2nd grade class hatched.

Time to post an ad on craigslist!

Wooot!! Let me know if you are ever ANYWHERE close (like within an hour) to my location. Would love some LF eggs of any sort - I think I am only going to hatch 'picked up' eggs from now on unless it's something I just can't get locally (Had to get my turken eggs via mail but had a decent hatch on those so it worked - seems no one around here has NN chickies!)..

Oh I am glad I don't have a huge incubator ( yet

) I have such a hard time getting rid of chicks. I just can't let them go until they grow up and I can see what they turn out to be. I am so afraid I might get rid of a really pretty one.

That is my EXACT dilemma! Also, I don't want to get rid of the girls and be stuck with boys! I have vowed that when I am done hatching these ducks, I am only setting my Lavender Ameraucana eggs and that is it! For a while! The bator will be unplugged by the end of May!!!
