Featherz...just picked up your EE's from Erin. They are so cute, and have some nice mottely/barring to them.

You are going to be one lucky girl this spring when her EE's and my OE's start laying! Pick a day next weekend and we'll meet you halfway.

They are just a few weeks old...tiny compared to my one month old silkies. There are only 4, I'll find a new home for them if you don't want them. I went back through the thread...not sure where we got mixed up...sorry.

That's weird, I never spoke to her about any EE's. I only saw it when you mentioned it a few days back and thought they were just chicks that you had extra. Make sure it was me she meant!

Yah, I can't take any little chicks, there's just no room right now.

Bigger ladies I can put in my big bird coop after quarantine. Maybe I am just getting senile. It's entirely possible!!

It's fine. We'll either keep them or find a new home for them. They are super cute and offer a different color to the flock. So once I get my pinkish-purple layers and a leghorn...I think I will be all set for my egg layers!

DH said he likely has the week of Christmas off from work...unpaid. I feel a tad guilty because in my mind that means I may get a new coop out of his free time!

I haven't been on this thread in a while.

I had a lot of catching up to do.

I have a question: can you use a heat lamp with a white light to supplement daylight hours? Or does the light need to give off UV rays to be supplemental? This confuses me.
