Willie is an indoor/outdoor pig. He comes inside at night to play with the dogs and sleeps in a crate, but spends his days outside in a run. Right now his run is so wet from the constant rain we've been having, that he has been inside for several days straight.
Today is the 2nd day of school and we got the call that it is a snow day...err...rain day! One of our main routes here is closed down due to flooding. Anybody else need rain? I'd be happy to send it to you!!
We are finally getting rain here, but not as much as you. So I have to ask, is Willie potty trained when he is in the house???? Believe it or not my Husband has always wanted a pot bellied pig.
Willie is definitely potty trained! He is just like having a dog...he goes in and out when they do...will do tricks for food, knows how to sit, tries to sit up (like our pooches do) which is HILARIOUS to watch, because he can't do it and will use whatever prop is nearby to achieve that...the wall, our leg, the other dogs! He has a stuffed animal he likes to throw around and chase. He favors our boy dog (Zildjian a Yorkie/Bichon mix) and will nudge his chest over and over until the dog is standing upright on his back feet...I think it's Willie's way of showing affection, and the dog LOVES it! Willie comes when he is called and can run faster than any little short legged creature I have ever seen...all with his tail sticking straight up! He pokes our legs with his schnozz to get food when we are cooking (it hurts) and is stubborn as the day is long. He can climb steps but not a flight of stairs. We have one big step from our kitchen to our porch and two step from the porch to the side yard...he uses that to get in and out. My friend built a ramp for their pig in the winter...we may do the same. The yard looks funny where he drags his belly in the snow...looks like otter trails!
