I'd offer to come help, but by the time I'd get there it's be next week! So, you could always move the chickens here and I could take care of them for you....

I like that idea...

And I'd better warn DH. Heart attacks are better if scheduled, right?!? The ducks would love the swamp across the street, I keep telling him we could get them and they'd be fine!!

Yikes!!

I think one of my Coronation pullets is becoming egg-bound! Do any of you know anything I can do to help her get that egg out? There isn't an egg sticking out, but she acts like she is trying to push something out. This started yesterday evening....

soak in warm water for about 30 mins while gently massaging her tummy downward toward vent. after that rub olive oil or vaseline what ever you have in an around her vent to help lube. don't go to far into her vent thouigh you don't want to risk breaking the egg. hope this helps and she can pass it. make sure she is in a quiet place without interruptions after you have done all of the above.

How's the arm Aspen?? Any better today? Or did you strain it loading all the birds into the trailer??

I'm glad its better and hope it keeps improving!

I'll make s'mores!! I think that goes well with a bator bash, don't you?? You might need a boat to get here if it keeps raining!! I've begun to feel the urge to build an ark and gather animals in groups of two...
