I edited my last post too late! I have 2 breeding pairs and an extra Silver hen. Also, if you are interested I have an extra Buff Am roo that is in the bachelor pad.

I'm always unsure if I should help/not help...it is tough standing by knowing you might be able to help. The two silkies I just hatced from Kelar I had to help out. I have no regrets. They are the only ones that made it out of 18!

I'm definitely a 'help out' kinda gal. If they don't make it, so be it. But I wait till all the strong chickies are out first. This last chick had been pipped for well over 24 hours and the peeping was sooo faint. I still dont know for sure if it will make it, but it seems well formed and is doing the usual 'cheep and stumble'. I have a hovabator plugged in as a 'recovery room/icu' and my last three wet chicks are sitting in there on a foam floor. It's nice and soft and works well if I get one with a sensitive navel or one that's spraddling. None of that today, whew!

I don't think I'll have a chance for cutest chick - they are all planning props! I don't think I have any good props.

Still waiting for my two EE girls to give me eggs. They've been squatting for two weeks now and I wanna see what color I get!

Thanks!!! Lol I never did really find any, but I think that's because I kinda stopped looking because I wasn't sure if the fammwas
Going to let me get more chickens... We had a coop fire (all chickens safe) that really wrecked our coop, so we ARE indeed building a new coop!!! That means more chickens! I need to start looking again

I'm glad your chickens are all right! You are lucky. Did the fire start because you were heating the coop?

You guessed right! Now I'm almost afraid to heat it anymore... I don't think I will until it gets WAAAAAY cold again...
