Well last night I almost had a heart attack ...

Around 11:00 last night the electricity went off for two hours!

I had to bring my 26 eggs in the living room by the fire for the whole time to keep them warm I had thermometer in the pan w/ them and it "Said" it stayed around 100 so

that they're okay!

I have chicks hatching out tomorrow and the next day sooo.....really nerve racking!!!

I hope they're okay! That was a smart move- if I'm ever incubating and the power goes out, I'll remember what to do thanks to you! Humidity is the main concern... and moving around. Do broody hens turn the eggs during the last 3 days or does instinct make them just sit?​

It was my mom's idea - always listen to your mom!

I'm looking a different websites that have Hydrometers and Thermometers .... trying to find one....

OH MY!!!! I'm worried about our loosing power as well!!! I have a hatch due for lock down on Friday and we are stuck in a GA snowstorm of my lifetime! State of Emergency declared for today... Nancy​

So how many hatches do we have this week? So far I've counted five.

bargain, Do you have a fire place, woodstove etc? I had a small heater in my room to keep my quail warm-also helped the incubate stay a stable 'temp-where is your incubator located?
