Ha-ha, that they do! One if my favorite things to do is toss an old soup bone in there and watch; I had a BR haul an entire ham bone across the yard once and was astonished at her being able to pick that up lol! 
I have 22; so thexratio should be just about perfect. I use 4 large rubber pans with about 2 scoops in each (don't know how big the scoop thing is, probably 2-3 cups?) They clean itvall up in about 30 minutes. I do give them a light snack in the afternoon before bed, too, usually just scraps or a canful of scratch so they don't go to bed hungry, but that usually dies it. They might leave a bit but its better than kicking powder out on the ground and wasting it.
You'll use less feed too, fermenting is great all the way around
