Your hen is not broody if she is still laying eggs. How do you know that the egg that she destroyed was fertile? And, how do you know that the remaining egg is not fertile?

Hens can be a In the pre broody stage and still lay eggs I have two right now in pre broody stage they lay eggs every day but they are just getting a clutch together

Makes no sense....If you leave eggs they will lay where the eggs are...Broody Hens that are Broody, will brood even if no eggs are present.....

Yes that is true too, but some make clutches of eggs, such as mine they sit on the nest longer than other chickens and when I go to see if she's going to fully commit she puffs up at me and broody clucks shortly after she'll get off the nest and walk around all grouchy and puffy for the rest of the day, my other hen is just getting those broody hormones and is recently making broody clucks.
