Uhmm.. wow.. thats really odd tho. I can understand a puppy.. or even my cat occaionally has sexy time with a blanket.. but this????

I would have to wear depends all day cause I would be laughing so hard watching that.

When they start coming into their "roo-ness", they will try to "romance" all kinds of weird things. Writer of Words on here has a big rooster that, in lieu of ladies, uses a large dishwashing liquid bottle. My bantam frizzle cochins fight over a broken plastic cup I used to dip feed with. It cracked and split lengthwise, and with broken edges down, somehow it looks attractive to them

Ah, well... the strange and wonderful world of chickens!

LOL! What a hilarious post. I agree you should definitely get some of that on tape. I have a 20 week RIR who's really coming into his roo-ness but he's not nearly that entertaining. Crows a couple times a day and for some reason likes to do his thing with the pullets at feeding time, then dismount walk over to me and give a look like, "what's up".

good news is (on the sex thing) that this is quite typical at this age and they DO somewhat grow out of it (I do luvvvv my boys and as it takes some time finding homes for them I have had lots of experience unfortunately with teenage roo-ness)
Bad news is (at least in my experience) is that when you have a rooster that crows that much he will generally tend to stay like that... only suggestion I would have for that is to separate into two distinct flocks (with a fence in between to help with territorial lines) > it sometimes will help issues regarding the crowing if it is due to competition between the roos > once their territory and flock is established then hopefully the crowing will calm down somewhat.
Now as far as ROMANCE goes... I had two boys... a standard size roo and a little bitty banty (both silkies > we have both sizes here in holland) and all my girls at that time were standards. To make a long story short the boys became best friends (sharing the ladies when possible > usually bandit would just slide off as he was so tiny). Now then the head lady of the flock (luv goddess as far as the boys were concerned!) would not let the banty near her... he adored her... He WORSHIPED her bringing her treats all day long and laying them at her feet cooing gently ... in return she took to the habit of stepping on his head as she ate the offered tidbit and then would let him up and peck him aw ay with a horrid sqawk and chasing him off until she allowed him to place another treat at her feet and the entire drama would once again ensue

it was truly hilarious to watch.
