chicken run cover

I have a large chicken run (it is about 50 ft x 20 ft) and i was wondering how to cover to and what to cover it with.

Are you keeping birds in or things out? What are you excluding? Do you want shadetweather protection on part or all? How is the rest fenced/constructed? Pics can help us advise how best to attavh,cetc

I mainly want to keep things out. The fence is 6 ft chicken wire reinforced with 4 in square wire. I don't need it to protect the chickens from the weather, just predators.

We live in Texas so we don't have snow. They will have a coop to go in to when it rains (it will be really big). and they get shade under our duck coop and from trees near by, they will also have lots of shade from their chicken coop when we build it.

So the sides are not going to prevent potential climbing predators who would seek access from the top....meaning bird netting for aerial predators may not be sufficient. Add a stand for two of hotwire near the bottom, eliminating climbers, and netting woukd work. Netting also requires less structure as it is light....a simple post in center with betting going out from there and secured to the top of the wire sides for example, vs more structure for a wire based topper

I used strips of fishnet and then laced the panels together.

So... you can make any size work.
