Hey BYC'ers Don't forget there is a chicken show in Inverness, FL - Citrus County this weekend. Come on down and check it out, we are going to have a great time. It will be at the Citrus Co. Auditorium Fairgrounds, 3610 S. Florida Ave (Hwy 41), Inverness. This will be a great opportunity for BYC members to meet up and make new friends.

Hope to see everyone there!!

Trying to talk the family into going. Their not excited about the 2 hour drive, but I will keep bugging them. Will there be chickens for sell? I might have to sneek the dog crate in the back of the SUV, I'll tell the DH that its just in case one of the kids start miss behaving HEE! HEE!

There is always chickens for sale at the shows. Dog crate... good idea. I live in central FL and it is a 2 1/2 hour trip for me. DH's Dad lives in Citrus Co, so I have made this trip countless times. It is not really a bad trip.

Hope to see you there !!

I am planning to be there and take lots of photos.

I have a Buff Cochin hen and would like to find a Buff or any other color Pekin
Bantam hen so I will have a big bird and a smaller bird paling around together
in the back yard.
I am really looking forward to seeing some fine specimens representing a
variety of breeds!

I kinda look like this if you would like to say hi I will be on good behavior.

I am really interested in the smallest fluffiest birds I can find.

Hey Noshoes,
Look forward to seeing you there. Yes - there will be lots of great looking birds there! Every time I go to a show, I see other breeds that I want to get. Even if they do not have the breed you want for sale, you can make contacts with breeders that do. Check at the registration desk for a "List of Exhibitors". When you find a bird that you like, match up the number on the coop card to the exhibitors number on the list and you then have info on who raises that breed.

I can't wait either. I love chicken shows. Today and tomorrow are chicken washing days for me. Gotta get the girls primped and pretty for the show. I have to get busy here in a little while when it warms up a little more.

Are there usually vendors at the shows? Like, people selling chicken accessories and equipment?

I cant wait to go see all the chickies!
