my cochin has been sneezing for the past few days, but no other symptoms. Egg production is good. eats well. Just sneezes randomly like when she forages, help would be appreciated.

Is it dry and dusty? Pollen in the air? Has she been eating dry feed that is powdery in consistency? Any swelling round the face?

Occasional sneezing, absent other symptoms, is normal.
I dont think so.. swelling though does look like it.

something happened today, she had started opening her mouth very wide, but it went on for a while, like she was choking, but wasnt. she kept opening it very wide, then lower, and kept it open. then made a weird growling noise. then it stopped and she went back to normal, aside from opening her mouth a little a few minutes later. She outstretched her neck a bit to while doing so.

ill get a better pic, but it seems like swelling is more pronounced on one side then the other? I dont know. its strange. Thanks for your reply!

If it happens again try to get a video. Timing can be tricky though. Was she eating when it happened? Sometimes they can “choke” on feed. Can you look in her mouth? Not entirely sure what your looking for, but I would be tempted to. Maybe look for canker or anything abnormal.
I hope it’s nothing, crossing my fingers for your girl.
