Chicken stare down??

i introduced my chicks to my cochin bantam pullet that isnt much bigger than they are.

one of my chicks ran at the pullet and the pullet looked the chick in the eyes and they just stood there for`like 5 min staring into each others eyes then stopped.

y do they do that? they kept doing it till one backs off.

is it a domanance thing? or y do they do it?

Yes it's dominance. They are establishing the pecking order.
