That baby pigeon is doing very well also, loves the hand feeding. and please DO NOT get me started abiout that.
I was in Millbury selling fudge, truffles and jewelry.
Gotta support the habit somehow.
Saturday we dropped our roo off at his new home. Guy has his flock free ranging. And has other roo's. So with luck Humphrey will be put in his place. The girls are adjusting slowly to life without a boy. Myself. I like the quiet and not having to carry a shovel with me for protection.
I am now 2 for 2 though on roosters. I know people have nice ones. . but we just havent had that luck.
Daughter was a D Uccle roo that she plans on naming Steve:/

I had a show on Saturday....I did OK....but my online website is selling MORE. I have sold 130 bars of Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey (this includes a 50 bar bulk order for the farm) and 100 bars of Lavender in the first week! It went so fast... DH and I are going to have to soap again soon. My neighbor said she'd come over and help me soap and get my stock back up again....I think I'm going to make larger batches....right now I usually do 4 batches at 40 bars each and soap for 3-4 days and I'm good for a few weeks.
I had a sick chicken....lethargic....VERY bad.....I quarantined her and forced her to drink sulmet water....she perked RIGHT up after about 12 hours or so. I was so worried about her...I think it was cocci...her recovery was fast. She still isn't 100% though....she still have 24 more hours of sulmet then I'll start dosing down. One thing is for sure though she is NOT laying yet... I've got to get her out of the house and disinfect the place BEFORE we get our puppy because cocci can be passed to dogs.
My chickens are out in the snow today...should I transfer my chickens to the other 'empty' coop and clean out the old one since I've got one sick? No one else is having problems.....should I go ahead and treat the whole flock (OH all those eggs going down the drain will kill me!!).
MY children screamed for 45 minutes this morning while putting on their snow suits....
I never had to deal with snowsuits as a kid...we lived in TEXAS!! LOL
Elvis is doing good...HE is so vain....stands in front of my garden mirror ALL day long looking at hisself. HE sure loves our Silver Laced Polish girl!! His CROW is so funny too....very weak wimpy sounding. He sure is a BIG fraidy cat!! WE love him...he cracks me up on a daily basis.
I have been busier since the show. Orders for fudge have JUMPED. And requests for those darn truffles. grrrr.
I stop making fudge etc on the 20th though. No way to get it to where it needs to be for Christmas after that. Right now I am super busy with regular work as well. Oh and the kid. My full time 24/7 job of mom
