I cant draw people for the life of me. I thought my college drawing professor was going to kill me. Cant do profiles, faces, bodies. Nothing. Animals of any kind. No problems. Cars. No problems. Landscapes. no problems. People? I give up

Purr- I LOVE "The Meadow" So peaceful and beautiful. Have you done any fall "dirt road through the trees" paintings? I have always wanted one for my home.

i was thinking that too with the new england stone wall. then i read, she has to practice her rocks she might not want to do a whole stone wall!
just the same the pics are beautiful, i wish i had talant.

Rhett thank you, I actually did do a winter one with the dirt road and a stone wall cause the stones were covered in snow. I donated it to a friends churches chinese auction.
I've always liked to draw but I didn't start painting till 8 yrs ago.I study with a local artist who happens to live on the next road from me.It a class of 6 and he only charges $10 for 2 hrs.And he provides coffee

Thanks Ladies!
Purr, I was going to try and send out your items today, but I can't find the darned pendant...I think I put it and other ones I made that day in the cellar when I was cleaning. The Woodland Poppet has been staring at me since I brought her and her ribbon back from the fair. LOL

You may feel bad about your roo, but that's exactly the reason that I put Penny out on May first. I thought that she'd rather feel the grass under her and the breeze in her feathers than to sit on Momma's lap for the last day of her life.

OK peoples I have something to bounce off all available participants.
In Talking with Tractor Suppy of Milford., The Manager Ken , would like us to do a Swap Once every month begining in March and continuing through November.
The third Satuday of each Month.
He was also saying to the effect of having a Farmers Type Market on the first or second Saturday of every month , but I feel that would interfere with local towns Farmers Markets.
I htink we can pull off the Market type swap just as we have been doing. Maybe we could add eggs, breads, more of them yummy whoopie pies etc, to our list of venders?
Fresh herbs and veggies could be added as the growing season gets motivated.
July and August are miserable for birds and rabbits, well actually most animals so we can break for the animals and concentrate on crafts and fresh food products for those 2 months.

I am also going to get in touch with a few Antique Dealers and see if they can be convinced to drag some Farming Equipment for sale and displays.
I have a wonderfull woman in Brookline NH that owns a Tea Shop,( to die for tea's) www.TheTeaCart.com whom I am going to invite to join us. The smells coming from this womans displays are heavenly.
and Cheep you might wasnt to check her for soaping teas, she has some wonderfull aroma's.

Chikn is fixin to send out the news letter and as I get more information and venders I will be adding them to the long list of well over 30 venders we have now!!!
another idea to bounce around:
Thoughts on inviting a person to Process animals to show the correct/ incorrect ways to process our bounty? I have a friend who is now looking into the FDA and finding out what he needs to be licensed to be a Mobile Processor.
I am 100% with him on this as I and Hubby tend to be lazy about processing animals that should go to freezer camp rather than to Auction.
The whole set up would have to be clearly defined as to what is going to happen, what is expected and of course someone there to fend off the weak minded "pet" people, AR's etc. not that there are very many here but there are more than enough to spoil a good time.

any other suggestions are welcome and we can actually either start a new thread for this or continue in this one itwont really make a lot of difference as new Swaps will be posted in a seperate thread.

Gypsy...this guy is a mobile processor in Littleton and FDA certified. I've never used him and had a tough time tracking one down in NH. I called him...his set up sounds nice FDA certified etc. He was interested in BYC...was very knowledgeable and willing to educate me. I'd LOVE to get some Freedom Rangers and have them all done at the SWAP!! How cool would that be? We could even talk to the Lions club and see if they are willing to set up their open BBQ pits...and we could sell roast chicken!! Ah...my chuck wagon Texas days are coming back to me!!

THAT is awesome that you are planning on getting certified as a processor....I'll HIRE you for next spring. I was thinking of having a processing PARTY like the BYC Connecticut folks. That sounded really educational.

OY....I'm such a FARMER! LOL

I love the Cozy Tea Cart!! My pear green tea soap has not been made in eons...I'm all out of palm oil...waiting for my shipment.

What a GREAT Bunch of Guys at TSC...I have approached 2 businesses in Keene...one seemed interested and the other just gave me a strange look. I'm actually thinking of approaching my connections at the educational farm for one here in SE NH.

I'm all in for the TSC swaps though...I could definitely do it monthly! AND if there is TEA there...I'd definitely be more alert!! LOL

I actually had this idea...what if we started a Traveling Poultry and Craft Show of NH...WE get businesses to vie for US to come and set UP at their place of business?? I love the craft circuit...but a $75 table rental is ridiculous...and cuts into my profits. And with this economy...I think we'd DO well. All we'd have to do is GET THE WORD OUT...by craigslist...local newspapers....etc. WE'D be TRUE GYPSIES!! LOL

Ok...my ideas are getting too big and overwhelming me! I'll go back to soaping!
