By the way, did you try checking her pupils to see if they're responsive? (I might have mentioned that before..)

Use a flashlight - shine it quickly in their eye, watch the pupil as it should contract. Take the flashlight away and it should get large again.

If the pupil dilates and contracts, it's not Marek's unless there's grey-eye.

Hi i have a chicken that had a swollen eye then it shut up and she was blind in one eye five months on and the other eye has gone the same so she is blind in both eyes so sad. so I put her in the coupe at night she manages to get out of the coupe in the morning, but she shares a coupe with one other chicken and at night I have noticed this chicken puts her wing over her its so nice to see that she looks after her

I found my 3 month old polish hen has been having some problems. She suddenly started crying a lot and didn't seem to be finding her way around very well. I brought her in the house I trimmed her feathers back out of her eyes. And when I move my hand towards her face she did not react. I do believe she is totally blind. I've got her in the house she has vitamins in her water. And I'm making sure she gets plenty of food. And of course she's getting lots and lots of attention. I don't know what more I can do for her except let her be a house chicken.
