After doing some research I'm led to believe that my chicken had a heart attack, but I can't find any information on how to take care of them afterwards. Can chickens survive them in the first place? Have I misdiagnosed?
I watched as it happened, she began flapping like crazy and hitting her head on an above shelf, then fell onto her back and flapped even more before coming to a stop. I intervened and began ensuring her throats wasn't blocked and that she could breathe.
Been acting okay since. Seperated inside eating and drinking reasonably normally, however she keeps her mouth open most of the time and stretches her neck a bit. Very occasionally ruffling her feathers (only seen a couple times over the past day).
Really need some advice.
