We currently have 10 laying hens, and we are moving to a place where we can only have 6. My aunt has her own flock, and has agreed to take the “extra” four. Now for the hard question - who goes and who stays?! With the exception of a bonded pair of silkies that either stay together or go together (because it feels mean to split them up, unless I’m just being anthropomorphic) we really have no idea who to choose..:
We decided to play Chicken Survivor - we want to do games “May the best chickens win”! The problem so far is that we can only think of one game - giving them each 5 crickets / bugs in an enclosed area and timing to see how long it takes for them to catch all the bugs.

One thing to consider is that silkies will have a harder time integrating into an established flock than large fowl will.
