I brought one of the baby plants back for you. It was one I split off yesterday so hopefully it will root okay.

Here's a picture of the plant I had to split (on the left) compared to the size it was 4 years ago (on the right). Apparently they LOVE being rootbound.

how much for the aloe plants? will you have them there?

I only brought back the one this time. We left at noon so I didn't know you wanted one.

But you're not that far away now so I can bring one back anytime. I really want to make sure the monster ones root first.

Oh yes the more root bound the better they like it.
the more they multiply.
Whats really neat is if you keep them from getting pot/root bound they will grow as large as the ones that grow wild out west.

If I didn't have to move it twice a year I'd let it go crazy. But the solarium is unheated so plants need to be moved out every fall. It got so heavy this summer I could no longer move it. It weighed almost as much as me, in a 12 inch pot of all things! Now I have a whole bunch of them!

Hope you're feeling better soon. Too bad the ER doc didn't to an xray (or figure out how to read one if he did).
