lol put it back in the bator and it went on its merry way snuggling the other chick. must remember to open the bator slowwwwwwly.

LOL, I have done that a few times then i feel so horible, so yep i look in the window first then slooooowwwly open it. LOL

my incubator is in laundry room so when i open the door chicks fall into dirty laundry!! LOL good thing for dirty laundry i guess

UGH what a freakin morning.
woke up to the turkey pen not looking right. couldnt figure it out, needed more coffee to focus the eyes.
look out and the tarp is skewed all over the place, shouldnt see day light through the pen, its hooked down pretty tightly( or so I thought),
hmmm something in there is moving wth>? need closer look and more coffee. get out there and OMG!! there is a coon inside the coop! AMAZINGLY all 8 turkeys are alive and untouched, came running in and woke the husband, get your A:: out there and get that coon oout of my turkey pen. he goes out, puts it down( not easy with a ticked off coon btw)
Check all the turkeys not a scratch, thankfully, now I have to move the turkey pen closer yet to the house so I can hear when this stuff happens.

not a good morning but it could have been a lot worse.

And yeah, I had fun yesterday too... I was the one walking around with the red bucket and the black pink& blue batik kimono thingy on, and there were these 3 other people that keep following me and asking me to come with them.

I only came for the two japanese black-tailed whites peeps, and ChickMagnet (who knows a sucker when she sees one) tricked me into getting a 2-dollar 9-toed black silky that looked minutes old. I sweep up dust bunnies made from basset-hair, bigger than that thing. Egads it's cute. Noisy too.

AND ChickenLady81 totally pressured me into getting one of her brahma-lights (sounds like a beer, doesn't it) so I left with twice as many chickies as I came for. It wasn't my fault! And some of Cheeptrick's soaps, and I would have left with lavender plants too, (they were super fragrant) but the epic 'bringing of the humungous parrot cage' event was unfolding, and it wasn't the right time.

And Luvmysilkies, I now have the other polish WCB living with me. She was picked on by Ladeefire's roo, so the girl's are back together.

So do we have, or should we have a general New Hampshire chat thread, for us local folks?

Monty passed away last night....my daughter woke up this morning and he was gone.....thanks for the well wishes, he had a good life.

ahhhh sorry to hear that, It is not easy to lose something you care for and care about and love. Hopefully the bunny will keep her comfort.

yeah I would have been cranky beings I brought home a Roayl Palm that was only a few months old and put her in with the slate babies.
the derned thing could have wiped out 8 baby turkeys and I wouldnt have heard a thing.
ugh stupid wild life. I dont mind feeding them occasionally but not rare and expensive turkey poults.
