sorry for your loss !

With the collar - are you sure it's working? was it on TIGHT /touching skin & does it have "levels" ...

My sister has THE numbest dog in the world - (although she's abused the poor thing IMO) ... and he has a very high prey drive - but when the collar is working properly and fastened securely - the dog stops in his tracks around the chickens (and in cases she's dropped him to the ground - sometimes when it was needed, others just because she was mad

... )

I hope your daughter steps up to the plate , or you find it a new home to save your poor chickies

Yes, I have trained many dogs and even put titles on some, I have done schutzhund work with the father of this pup too as well as obedience and conformation showing. She is just the dog version of ADD and nothing can detract her once she has her sights set on something, and unfortunately, it is usually something she will get into trouble for! I had it on level 5, could see her neck muscles twitching and she still was intent on getting at the chicken!

I can totally understand "numb" dogs x( ... honestly my sisters dog wags it's tail when you yell at him (for something he was caught doing red handed and knows was wrong - like counter surfing/trash picking etc) ... ...

GOOD LUCK! ... I'd probably opt for trying the old "tie the dead chicken to the collar" trick for the day - even a dog with ADD has to find that annoying

... my sisters dog hasn't gotten any of my chickens - luckily (but it's been close!).

... again sorry for the loss of the little survivor chick ... it's especially hard when they make it through so much and something beyond your control happens to them

Thanks. I will be giving her a second chance, but then I will have to tell my daughter that she needs to move back to her condo with her or sell her if she is planning on staying here. I am getting too old for this crap and with being sick it sure doesnt help.

Hey guys, (and gals) My friend with me on last saturday in milford bought two little button quail from the lady set up next to us.... now she wants more! Does anybody have any left? Very young birds these two, but she has set up such a nice big habitat, it looks empty with just the two! email me if you have any, or know of anyone, please!

Thanks!
A~

I know Shay has some, but if she waits and has a male and female it wont be long before she has more! LOL They are very addicting. I got diamond doves and they are the same!

Unfortunately, I do not think that I will be able to make it down there

.
Someone should take pictures though!

Hi. Usually there are all kinds of poultry, rabbits and small livestock at the swaps. What kind of quail are you looking for? Chances some will have some and let you know. Good Luck.

Courtnix or BWs are great, due to their uses.
A breeding pair of button quails, would be great too.

I have baby buttons that just hatched and a young tuxedo hen that just started laying available $5 each if your interested.
