Hey Janet, I took pics of that hen but it they did not come out great. I am beginning to think the other 2 birds saw something on her but end and began to pick at her. That is why it happened so fast, since this morning it must have been. I am going to bath her in the morning to get a better look and see what I see.

I just got five columbian chicks today for the swap.
I will also have 3 buff brahma babies if I can remember to grab them from the barn before we go. The Silkie hatched them April 1st. I think she is ready to go back with the adults now.

I just put duck eggs in the hatcher so I candled stuff. I have birds that I got over the last few weeks in quaranteen. I have been saving eggs from one pair. last time nothing was fertile. this time I put in 3 and they are all fertile. soooo, what do you think a white crested blue polish crossed with a white showgirl will look like?

guess we will see in about 2 weeks.

i'll see if i can get a good pic of my one chick that came out like that, it's sibling didn't get the feathered feet. i think it is a cockerel from the looks of the wattles coming in. oh, and it got this strange looking comb that looks single but has a what looks like the V comb points at the top!

it's a FUNKY chicken!
