Never send a man to do a woman chicken lovers work! LOL....I am not sure who sold them to him, but once they read it here they will answer you provided they are a member on BYC. Sometimes there are people at the swaps that are not on BYC...boy, are they missing the fun!

(sorry to cute/funny)

Can you ask him to give you more info on the people/person who sold him the chicks. what kind of car ? hair color ? did they have all chicks ? any info would be great.

CoNgRaTs on the new babies !!!

Thanks everyone. I found out who it was. She PM'd me and we agree she is the right person. Interestingly I bought my original nine chicks from the same person four weeks ago in Chichester.

He just could not tell me anything about Polish chicks and they are just too cute!! I never expected to have them and I wanted to learn what I could!

Now I cant wait to attend myself now that I have learned so much.

You all a great!

Not to change the purpose of this thread, but: Yes I was a bit frustrated with my DH (but mostly because he could not remember anything the woman had said about them), but he has an excuse. In the article below he is referred to as the Maverick Genius and he has spent most of the past two weeks down in Houston trying to fix the oil spill. So in my opinion it is in good hands.

Well he is a good man...but he would not have sent you to do that job ! Just kidding, I hope they get that under control, I feel so badly for all the loss of animal life tat will end up being a result of thiat. By any chance, is he with Kevin Costner? I saw him on the news last night saying he has something that could help with the spill! We will be happy to meet you and you should try to come to the tilton swap as well, it is not all that far away! Also, you should come south to the Milford swap, that one is usually the biggest and has a really good selection. Make sure you keep an eye out for our Chicken-a-holic sign up sheet! Just kidding, but they are like an addiction! hee hee

Hi all, wow what a great weekend! thanks cheryl for the wyandottes. I am correpting them already. Gave everyone crumbled english muffins last night. yours watched the others then hesitantly tried some. After a few bites they took a nose dive into the muffins and are hooked.

Darlene, I put your carrier to good use today. It brought home my new silkie.

Good job Janet...I knew you must have had a plan for that carrier! I liked that little carrier a lot, nicely made! Where dod you have to go to get the silkie? I tell ya, there are so many people looking for silkies that the first ones to have them for sale at the swaps can probably name their price!

Enquiring minds want to know. WHERE ARE THE PICTURES OF YOUR NEW SILKIE?

I am glad they are being spoiled. I hadnt started them on any treats yet. I don't usually give them treats until they go out to the coop except for some yogurt once in awhile. I love the two Lt. Brahmas. My little frizzle went broody on me yesterday. She was sitting on a nest of 8-10 eggs all night and didn't move off it for most of the morning either so I moved her and her eggs to into a large pet carrier. I am thinking of waiting a couple of days and if she truely wants to set I will change the eggs under her and put the Lt Brahma eggs from April under her and put hers in the incubator. That makes 3 broodys now. Still no babies on the first one. If none have hatched tomorrow, I will take some of the 20 that hatched this weekend and put them under her tomorrow night.

no pitcures yet. Long day at work.
I had my best hatch of the season this weekend. 30 out of 32 chicks hatched. even the one that I forgot to put in the hatcher! It was still in the bator on the turner at 25% humidity. Darlene, it was my first old english game. It is so small! really cute. I also got a few naked necks, silkies,my first partridge showgirl, and 3 polish/showgirls.

I did well on my hatch this weekend also. I ended up with 20. There are 3 or 4 Sizzles and some really pretty blue cochins of different shades of blue. I may have to keep the lightest blue one

Donny helped me set up the cages I got from Greg out in the run today so I could let the older babies out to get some air. They are growing so fast.
I can't wait to see your NN's I have six more eggs going into lockdown tomorrow night. I think they are silkie or sizzles. I will candle them before I go to bed and hopefully they will make it to hatch. I bleached out the hatcher and let it dry in the sun for a couple of hours.
