Chicken Swaps Of Nh ( May Listings )

Hi all, went to Westford this morning, had to drop off a button quail to Tammie and of course also to see what I did not need! So what do I come home with this time, yesterday was not bad enough! I had to get me some more diamond doves! OK, have reached the limit on them so NO MORE! A lot of pigeons there. All kinds of breeds and colors! Saw some beautiful milli d'Uccles but they were roos. Shay had some adorable little OEGB in blue and some really cute d'Uccles, but I managed to resist as hard as it was! There was an auction at 10:30 and the cages were going soooo cheep! I bought an adorable little antique canary cage..NO CANARIES...I will put a plant in it! I need to wait and see what these bators are going to produce for me. It was a sad day also because we had to put sown the 2 beautiful arauconas. They were showing no signs of improving. Then the neighbor from 2 streets away came over to ask if we had a small grey chicken with a band on its leg we were missing, so of course after a head count YES it was ours. We went to get her but she had left his property and went into the woods so I dont know what is going to happen now. Hopefully she will hear the roo and come back. It was her second day of free ranging with the flock after she escaped her cage on me. I have a man coming to buy my last pair of serama today and it hurts me to sell this pair because they are the ones I was holding out on because the roo is so uniquely colored. But I am having such a hard tome hatching that I would rather see the pair go to a good home and he seems like a very nice guy. Oh well, off to try and do some yard work now that things have quieted down a bit here.

Well I just finished cleaning cages and the barn. Boy the sweat was just puring off me but the chickens are happy.
Here are some of the pictures from yesterdays swap in Milford. Enjoy.

didn't realise so many of us have tents now. I was talking to the people with the fancy watering system and they said that alot of people ask them to explain how it works. It looks like a wonderful way to make sure your pets have clean water at all times. Greg got a really bad sunburn on the top of his head and irritated his bad knee because he walked around so much to take care of things. needless to say, he is relaxing today till the swelling goes down. he enjoys helping everyone so he feels the pain is worth it.

It is too hot a day today to be miserable. Put your feet up and relax with a cold one..............lol.
I hope you feel better Greg, We really appreciate what you do to keep these swaps going.
We are also checking into one of those tents. It would be alot easier to keep the chicks shaded in this hot weather.

I think Walmart has them for like 88 bucks. Make sure if you get one that it has a vent in the top so if the wind blows hard it will not sail away with the tent!
