when spouses and family tell us to 'step away from the chickens' do we listen?!?? oooooh nooooo waaaaay! we grab those birdies in an instant and hide them where we can!

Kow that ALL too well! Been caught a few times, but now i have an excuse to get more birds.


BTW fence is up/running

, we have orders to dispatch the bear is there's another threat, otherwise they will come get the bear(They usually don't do that anymore

ok so just checking with the ladies - I'm not the only one that has a bra 2 sizes too big that can accommodate 6-8 chicks depending on size? RIGHT ? ? !

I still have some clothes from before I lost weight. this sure works for creative uses. just when I thought I could throw something away. {my chicks do not peep when they are in the dark}

Thats the nice thing about hatching in cartons, they DONT roll around, they just pop out of the egg ! I set the bantam americanas on the 21st of April and just woke up to peeping and one is out and dry allready and 4 others are pipped. I counted on the calendar and they were not due till the 13th??? Whats up with that??? That bator should be a ppeping rock concert by the next few days if all hatch as planned. By the way, it is the new Hovabator 1588 !! Might have to invest in another one of them!

Not sure what other threads on here any of you look at, but check this out! I want one. What a great way to keep your bators in a part of the house where ya can keep an eye on things! Looks like part of the furniture! Check it out...

Thanks Cheryl! These are the eggs you and I got that day in Tilton. You had set your a few days before I did. How many did you end up with by the way? Were they early? These should not have started till the 13th according to my calendar and that would have been 20 days.
