Thanks Cheryl! These are the eggs you and I got that day in Tilton. You had set your a few days before I did. How many did you end up with by the way? Were they early? These should not have started till the 13th according to my calendar and that would have been 20 days.

I just saw this for free on craigslist if any one is close enough and needs it.
I made a mistake, the ones we got from Tilton are still in the incubator marked with a T for Tilton. They were set on the 26th.
The ones I hatched, I think came from the lady that I got all the eggs from that you bought a dozen too. Was that the other Tilton one?
Any way, only six hatched out of all those eggs. Alot were clear and there are still some in there that I was hoping would be late but I am taking them out today and discarding the rest. Then I am going to bleach the bator just in case. I had a problem with the hygromers. Some were way off when I calibrated them, and the hatcher is an LG.

I hearrrrrrr peeeeepppppingggggggggggg from the bator

Maybe it was Chichester, I get those 2...no it was Tilton. Anyway, I also had a lot of clears from that batch and there she was saying how great her hatch rate was! Even with my crappy bators I probably had a better hatch rate with other eggs that having hers take up room in my new bator that so far I LOVE!!!!

holy moley that's alot of eggs. ought to look like a video game when they start to roll around.

Thats the nice thing about hatching in cartons, they DONT roll around, they just pop out of the egg ! I set the bantam americanas on the 21st of April and just woke up to peeping and one is out and dry allready and 4 others are pipped. I counted on the calendar and they were not due till the 13th??? Whats up with that??? That bator should be a ppeping rock concert by the next few days if all hatch as planned. By the way, it is the new Hovabator 1588 !! Might have to invest in another one of them!

My bantam eggs always hatched out a couple days early before I adjusted the temp on my Genesis bator. The instructions recommend trying a couple hatches first before making any adjustments. I found my bator to be running consistently high based on early hatches and temp readings from multiple thermometers. I'm so impatient, that it was kinda nice to have them come out early. But I know it's better for them to stay in there for the normal length of time. Many had bloody navels before I turned the temp down.

Good luck!
