ya know those ducks are so well trained. at night greg goes in the pen and says "ok get in your house" and i'll be darned they all look at him and walk up the ramp. my chickens on the other hand look at me,laugh,then continue to play outside. I come back after they feel like going in.

LOL That's just how I roll Janet....What was it you were saying about right place at the right time?? HAHAHA Just put the eggs in a little while ago. Can't wait to see what pops out this time!

Jason and I worked on the camper coops today and finished turning the bathroom into a Silkie coop....came out pretty good but still want to add a few things. They seem pretty happy in there. I finished one more breeder pen in there but it's still empty. Not sure who I want to put in there yet.

I will try and remember to take pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.

brandy--ya know the eggs that are the strange ones? the ones we were looking at that look like 2 colors mixed together. not the java eggs. they look kind of like pixels. the cochin I put with bubba laid an egg today and yup they are from her.

i have an opinion of who should be in the bathroom pen......the petes......seems fitting.

Sooooooo...... I no longer have to wait for Muscovy eggs to hatch and raise to have a breeding flock of them! (sorry 1chickmagnet but I could not help it) Look what I got today!!!! And they just happened to come with 2 precious black silkies! They are 5 months old and soooooo cute! I will post pics of them tomorrow! Here are the duckies though!! They are 7 months old! Are ducks allowed at the swap????

I actually was thinking about making it into a duck pen so i could use the tub for a swimming hole but decided it was too much of a pain to deal with the holding tanks and stuff so we eliminated the tub. The Partridge Silkies are now living in there and seem to be way happier.
Even have a broody sitting on 3 eggs in the little cubby that used to be by the toilet hahaha perfect little nest box!

So now I have 2 empty pens and im trying to decide what to put in them....thinking about seperating my light brahmas and buff brahmas. Then I can start tapping my foot waiting for them to start laying haha.

Tomorrow the Stinky Petes will be leaving my bedroom and heading down stairs where they can stink all they want. They must have been monkies in their past lives judging by how well they fling poo! Now to figure out what to build down there that will keep them safe from my dogs and will have a slide out drawer for easy cleaning. I have recently decided to give myself an award for building "ugly but functional" chicken/duck coops hehehehe
