i have about 10 eggs that could hatch this weekend and a friend across town asked me if i wanted 3 of her sweet silkie eggs to hatch so she could stop one of her birds from going broody!

now i have to keep the bator on for another 2 weeks beyond the expected hatch date! here's hoping they hatch! i've been wanting a couple of silkie pullets!

the new girls have started to lay

this week I have had first eggs from my mottled java,serama,naked neck polish,and frizzled polish.

. I also have a nice white roo that found his voice. won't be long till he figures out everything else.

They seem to be doing awesome! Some even seem to have veined a bit earlier than day 4! I am patiently (not really though) waiting for your Muscovey's and Jeepchick's Call's and Bourbon's to start laying though! I am now not only chicken crazy but duck, goose and turkey crazy! OH BOY!!!!!!! My hubby is gonna kill me!!!!
