congrats on the nice blue egg. I bought 1 ee hatchery day old pullet this year. I just seperated her to see if she was laying. yup...she lays a nice BROWN egg.
she is the only ee I have.
Janet, I have an Araucana cross from one of your eggs that Cheryll hatched and sold to me. She's a pretty little splash and lays light blue-green eggs. I thought all Ameraucanas and Araucanas that were crossed with other breeds were considered EEs?
yup, that is what I have read too. is she rumpless? any chance you have a photo of her? the araucana I have is a roo. he is splash and very good looking. I haven't seen many of his children. sounds like you have lots of beautiful eggs. I kept a chick that I hope is a hen because of the dark eggs you told me about. it has the same parents as yours.

Did you get it at Walmart? I got one for Danielle there last week. How is your leg?
hi
greg got it at kmart. walmart had them for less than three dollars but greg wanted a different one that had more bells and whistles. has your daughter tried hers yet?
my leg is getting better. thanks for asking. I can walk now and it is less swollen. all the skin is peeling like a sunburn
kmart was the first store we went to. I called on thurs to see exactly where in the store the item I wanted was located. I found out they only had 2. stood in line in the am and made a bee line for the item I wanted. I got it
. how bad was the crowd on thurs?
Was just about noone there actually lol Had most of the store to ourselves.
Just put the eggs in the bator Janet
Thanks for the tour! If you ever get sick of chickens I will take good care of Bubba for you hehehehe
I got a tip from someone here and picked up my first 4 girls today ( Delaware , Polish , Bar Rock & Americauna ) This should keep me busy for a bit , and hold me over till the spring swaps start
...Thanks for the offer ! Sounds like you will have no problem finding them good homes

I had to work Thanksgiving Day (and today, and tomorrow) but Friday was my day off. I pledged not to go any further away from the house than the garage.

I will be so excited to see how many hatch. you rescued them from being breakfast.
bubba is a special boy if I do say so myself. he is awful cuddly for such a big guy. to bad he didn't crow for you. he sounds like a dinosaur.

congrats on starting your flock. I was wondering how you would be able to wait till next spring to try out your new coop.

Amy
welcome
what type of a business do you work at? it must be yuckie to work when so many have the day off. I drive a truck. I am gone alot. I like to glue myself to the house when I have time off. I have a rocking chair down by the coop so I can relax and watch the girls.
