Thanks I found that picture online and couldn't resist!

3 and a half hours later NPIP testing is DONE!! Thankfully my appointment was today and not tomorrow with the snow comming.....that would have just been no fun at all! (not that it was fun anyways) My chickens usually are in a pile under my feet when I go to the chicken yard and happy to see me and now they run and hide.

I will have to bring them out something yummy and buy back their affection.

ETA: brought them some bagels and cranberries and they love me once more hahaha

I have only gotten 2 eggs from any of my Polish girls before they stopped for the winter and OMG one actually hatched!

Cool! I was wanting them to be cochins

I actually was thinking about making it into a duck pen so i could use the tub for a swimming hole but decided it was too much of a pain to deal with the holding tanks and stuff so we eliminated the tub. The Partridge Silkies are now living in there and seem to be way happier.
Even have a broody sitting on 3 eggs in the little cubby that used to be by the toilet hahaha perfect little nest box!

So now I have 2 empty pens and im trying to decide what to put in them....thinking about seperating my light brahmas and buff brahmas. Then I can start tapping my foot waiting for them to start laying haha.

Tomorrow the Stinky Petes will be leaving my bedroom and heading down stairs where they can stink all they want. They must have been monkies in their past lives judging by how well they fling poo! Now to figure out what to build down there that will keep them safe from my dogs and will have a slide out drawer for easy cleaning. I have recently decided to give myself an award for building "ugly but functional" chicken/duck coops hehehehe

are the cochins full size? they are very pretty
the chick above shiny looks like an amber link
the showgirl has a tiny mom--looks like white and black---cool---

I think the cochins are LF......they are growing the same as all the other LF chicks in the brooder.
Yeah the Petes were in my room up until yesterday lol They were abusing the right to be stinky for sure. We have been sleeping with the window open hahaha.
